ERP Therapy Group

We are offering an in-person, exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy group for teenagers (ages 13-18). Our goal is to help your child feel empowered with tools to manage OCD, connect with other teens and families in the OCD community, and live a fulfilling life!

 

Group Description and Requirements:

  • The group will begin on October 1, 2024

  • We are accepting participants who are between the ages of 13 to 18

  • A diagnosis of OCD is required to participate

  • Small group format. We require a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 6

  • We require all new participants to attend 2 initial intake sessions before joining the group

    • 1st intake session: To gather information about your child and your family, discuss previous treatment and diagnoses, and learn pertinent psychosocial factors

    • 2nd intake session: To create an exposure hierarchy with your child and parent(s) for the group sessions

Meeting Structure:

Location: Willow Anxiety and OCD office at 1900 the Alameda, suite 610/630, San Jose, CA 95126

​

Date and Time: Tuesdays, 4:00-5:30 PM

​

Each session will include:

  • Check-in and agenda-setting for 20 minutes with the group

  • ERP for 45 minutes

  • Debrief for 20 minutes

  • Ongoing psychoeducation throughout the program

​

Parent(s) Involvement:

  • Participation is required during all group sessions

  • Learning the nuts and bolts of ERP so you can support your child at home

  • Defrief  with the therapist every session for support, to ask questions, and to discuss progress

Group Leaders:

The group will be led by one of our child and teen therapists, Emma Kelley-Bell, who specializes in and treats OCD and related disorders. Additionally, one of our doctoral practicum students will actively work with you for all sessions

​

Cost:

  • The first intake session is $335 and the second intake session is $245

  • Each group session is $160. Participants are required to pay in full for 8 sessions, $1,280 after the intake is complete

  • Payments are accepted via Zelle, check, or credit card (3% rounded processing fee if paying by credit card)

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • No refunds will be given for the initial two intake session fees

  • The payment for the 8 group sessions of $1,280 is non-refundable and non-transferable

  • Cancellations occurring more than ten business days before the first group session are eligible for transfer or refund

  • Cancellations occurring fewer than ten business days before the first group session will only be eligible for transfer or refund if we can fill that spot in the group with a family from our waitlist

  • Please note that all refunds will incur a processing fee equal to 15% of the refunded charge

  • If the group does not meet the minimum enrollment of 2 members, the group will be canceled and the full fee will be refunded
